Hercules
Hercules had been living as a stray for a long time, being fed by a kind old man who had been doing his best to look after him in addition to his own cherished cats. Unfortunately the old gentleman then fell ill and was taken to hospital. At this point social services contacted the charity and asked if we could find Hercules a new home. After several weeks with us we noticed that he was slowly beginning to lose weight and look in poor condition. A further health check revealed that Hercules had developed diabetes and would require close monitoring and daily insulin injections. As there was little hope of finding a new home for Hercules because of the demands of his health condition, he has remained at the home of the animal welfare coordinator, along with three other diabetic cats. Since then Hercules has put all his weight back on, and is living comfortably in a loving home where his health needs are taken care of.
