Thank you for choosing to adopt a rescue cat or kitten! Here you can view our gallery of adult cats for adoption. Thank you for observing our guidelines when visiting.

TaTac
TaTac is a 9‑year‑old chatty sweetheart who loves his favourite people deeply — but he needs a very specific kind of home. He has allergies (so he uses paper litter), hates other cats, and must be the only pet in a calm, adult‑only household.
He’s affectionate, loyal, and full of personality, but when he’s overwhelmed he can give a nasty nip. He’s not being “naughty” — he just needs someone experienced who can read his signals and give him space when he asks for it.
If you’re a confident, patient cat lover who understands sensitive souls, TaTac could be your perfect match. He’s ready to bond with someone who truly gets him.

Cappuccino
Cappuccino is a gentle three-year-old tabby who spent at least two years surviving as a stray before being rescued and brought into the care of Caring for Cats. Due to her difficult past, she is currently very timid and spends much of her time seeking comfort by sitting in her litter tray or lying next to her favorite teddy bear. While she occasionally shows a playful side with her feather toy, she requires a quiet home with an experienced owner who understands feline behavior. With a patient adopter who is willing to give her the space and time she needs to feel safe, Cappuccino has the potential to slowly blossom and finally learn what it means to be a cherished companion.

Lucy
Lucy is a charming three-year-old tabby who came to Caring for Cats after living as a stray with her kittens. While her “serious” face might suggest otherwise, she is a truly friendly girl who, though initially a little shy, is quick to purr the moment she receives a stroke. This affectionate girl has a bit of a flirtatious side when near male cats and would likely thrive in a home with a gentle male feline companion for company. If you are looking for a sweet, slightly bashful friend who blossoms with affection, Lucy is waiting to meet you at the Market Weighton homing centre.

Poppy
Poppy is a beautiful 13‑year‑old lady who has found herself back in our care through no fault of her own. Her previous owner adored her, but sadly ill health meant they could no longer give her the life she deserved. Now Poppy is hoping someone new will open their heart to her.
She’s a friendly, affectionate girl who loves nothing more than finding a cosy spot to snooze between snacks. When she’s feeling playful, feather toys are her absolute favourite — she may be a senior, but she still has plenty of spark.
Poppy would prefer to be the only cat in her new home, where she can enjoy peace, comfort, and all the attention she’s missed.
If you have room on your sofa (and in your heart) for a gentle older companion, Poppy is ready to bring warmth, calm, and quiet joy into your life.

Freddie
Freddie is a six‑year‑old former street boy with a heart as soft as his fur. After fending for himself outdoors, he’s discovered that life with humans is far better — and he’s making up for lost time with affection. His favourite thing in the world is giving “kisses,” whether that’s a gentle nose‑boop or a surprise smooch on your toes.
Now that he’s safe, he’s enjoying toys, comfort, and attention.
Freddie has IBS, so he’s on a special diet that keeps his tummy settled. As long as he stays on this food, he’s comfortable and happy. Any adopter will need to keep him on this diet to avoid flare‑ups.
He would also prefer to be the only cat, so he can enjoy a peaceful home and all the love to himself — something he’s never had before.
Freddie is looking for a calm, loving home where he can finally relax and be cherished. He’s the perfect match for someone who wants a gentle, affectionate companion with a big heart and an even bigger capacity for love.
Kittens
Our rescue kittens for adoption are not featured on the cat gallery due to quick homing times. Please call the homing centre first if you are specifically looking for this age group.
