ATHENA is an eleven year old beautiful long-haired tabby/tortie and white female. Rescued along with two other cats from a life of appalling neglect in late 2010, ATHENA was nursed back to good physical health at the charity’s South Cave cattery. Whilst her two companions have recovered well and gone on to happy homes, ATHENA’s timid nature and traumatic past meant that she was still very introverted and found it difficult to relax around new people.

This poor animal had endured terrible neglect and who knows what sort of treatment. She was a true rescue case, and we appealed for anyone who could offer this special girl a new start in life. ATHENA has now found that loving home, with very understanding and patient owners who will give her the time and space that she needs to come out of her shell. She is a true rescue case, and through long-term fostering this special girl now has a new start in life.

ATHENA has so much potential. At quiet times she does like being gently stroked and talked to, so we believe that now she has found the right people in her life, she will be a very loving and affectionate companion.
