Adoptions

Our homing centre is in Market Weighton and is open to the public between 11am – 5pm, Tuesday – Sunday. No appointment is necessary. Here you can meet all our adorable cats and kittens looking for new loving homes. When you arrive one of our volunteer homers will greet you and ask questions to find out about you, your family situation and what sort of cat you are looking for. This is a two-way process so do ask as many questions as you need.
What is most important is matching the cat’s personality with your family and your lifestyle. Getting these factors right makes for the happiest and most successful animal adoptions in the long-term. Volunteering

We always need new and enthusiastic volunteers so thank you for your interest. Please read our ‘How you can help’ page to find out about the different ways you can support us. You can apply online by filling out our volunteer form. Alternatively you can call the homing centre on 01430 872612, or just drop in for a chat during opening hours, between 11am – 5pm, Tuesday – Sunday, and pick up an application form.

Donations

Please read our donations page for information on how you can donate online, by cheque or by setting up a standing order. For a more personal way to give, why not consider sponsoring a long-term foster cat or one of our homing centre pens. Thank you for your generous support

Missing cats

If you would like to report your cat missing, in the first instance, contact our homing centre on 01430 872612.

Found cats

If you have found one of the cats listed as missing on our website, please contact the homing centre on 01430 872612 with the details. In addition, if you have found a cat which you think may be lost, please contact the homing centre on 01430 872612 for advice.

Cats to be handed in to our care

We always have a long waiting list so the more notice you can give us the better. Please call the homing centre on 01430 872612 between 11am – 5pm, Tuesday –Sunday to give us details of the cat/s you would like us to take in. We need the following information if available: age, sex, colour, status on neutering, vaccination, flea and worming treatments, or other health issues. Please also state if the cat is living as a stray or feral, and if you have access to transport.

In all other circumstances, please complete an enquiry form and we will get back to you as soon as we can.
