Tabby & white cat with foreleg amputated after a road accident, costing the charity over £1400

Caring for Cats is often the last hope for injured or sick cats that otherwise do not have a future. This two-year-old tabby & white puss, named Ice, is one such cat. He is an adorable and very friendly young cat, but after his foreleg was badly broken in a road accident his owners decided he should be euthanised. The attending vet knew he could save this cat’s life and give him back quality of life, and asked if the charity would take and rehome him. We have assumed the costs (£1400+) of his amputation, which thanks to the surgeon was a huge success and has healed brilliantly.  Ice will be having a happy Christmas afterall, safe with us. He’s adapting well to his ‘new’ three legs and is getting about fine. Will be ready for rehoming from end Dec; needs to be an indoor cat or have a secure, enclosed garden.
